Sessions at the Saints
This season, we’ll be running a total of 14 sessions. While the AFL requires a minimum of 8, we love offering more to give kids plenty of playtime and fun. Any extra sessions are at the discretion of our Auskick Coordinator.

Family Nights

Once a month, we bring the entire club together to celebrate the achievements across all levels—including Auskick! It’s a fantastic night for parents, kids, and siblings to gather, connect, and cheer on the accomplishments of our players. We’d love to see your whole family there to share in the fun and community spirit!

Weather Considerations
We prioritize our youngest players’ safety. If weather conditions are too wet or extreme, our Auskick Coordinator may decide to cancel a session, but we’ll notify you as early as possible.

What to Wear

  • Footwear: Football boots are preferred for traction on wet grass, but they’re not required. Please bring runners, as boots are not allowed inside the club rooms.

  • Clothing: Many kids enjoy wearing their favorite footy colours. Please dress kids according to the weather—it’s warm at the start of the season, so sunscreen might be needed, please apply this at home.

What to Bring

  • A full water bottle

  • A big smile and plenty of energy!

Cost
$95 for the season.

Here’s the breakdown:

  • $85 goes to the AFL

  • $10 supports our Auskick Centre to fund equipment.

Our Amazing Volunteers
Did you know everyone at our club—from committee members to Auskick Coordinators—is a volunteer? It’s a real team effort, and we’re grateful for every helping hand.

Parent Participation
Auskick is all about community! We ask parents to lend a hand with setup, pack-down, or even on the field to help run drills and keep the environment lively and supportive.

Girls Only Auskick
We’re proud to be a girls-only Auskick Centre! To run this program successfully, we need at least 10 girls to join. If we don’t reach this number, we’ll operate as a mixed-gender center.

Auskick Presentation Day
Join us on the second weekend in September as we wrap up the season, celebrating and awarding all our Auskick stars.

What age does my child have to be to play Auskick?

Children can start playing NAB AFL Auskick in the year that they turn 5.

Kids must turn 5 before Dec 31, 2025.

We recommend joining Junior Football U8 as soon as your child is age appropriate, so they learn to play football under modified rules.

Government Vouchers

All states and territories (except for the ACT) provide Government Vouchers to help reduce the cost of kids’ sport. You can definitely use yours when registering for Auskick - just be sure to have the details handy before you hit ‘submit’, as we can’t enter vouchers after registration has been completed. To find out more, please search for Sport Voucher Information on your State and Territory Government website. https://www.getactive.vic.gov.au/vouchers/
